Whatever Kanye West was trying to prove backfired pretty badly. For whatever reason, Kanye came out on stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for winning Best Female Video to totally dis her by touting that Beyonce’s video was better. After the crowd booed and he realized the error of his ways, he handed the mic back to Swift who stood there in stunned silence unable to finish her speech.
To her credit, Beyonce, who received an award later in the program, brought Swift back up on stage to give her time to finish her speech. West was removed from the rest of the show. No word on if he was allowed to stay at the venue. He did take plenty of heat from other celebrities, talk show hosts, and even the Prez himself, calling him a “jackass”.
